What if Bronco could be persuaded to come here as a DC/Assistant HC? They acknowledge its a most likely a pipe dream but that actually could be match made in heaven if ego's wouldn't get in the way. Bronco is exactly what the defense needs. He's and X's and O's type of guy who loves to scheme for every opponent and has shown to be very effective in that role. Look how the D turned around after 1 week when he fired Jaime Hill. He's an accountability and conditioning minded coach which were desperate for right now. He wouldn't have to deal with the media and whether he's being PC enough in expressing his opinions and could put all his time and energy into putting together feared D. With the XII money they could probably throw a nice figure at him to get him to think about it with him filling two important roles on the staff. This would allow Kalani to remain being the figurehead of the program and using his likeability strengths to focus on inspiring the team on certain games, recruiting and media relations. The more I think about this scenario the more it really makes sense...which is probably why it won't happen. Still intriguing though.
