That is my view on your delivery. As far as your content is concerned, we can all be a little nicer and little less critical. However, what you were advocating for seemed to ask posters to view the coaches and players as anointed and beyond criticism (like leaders of the Church). I think it is very important that we never let that happen, because they aren't apostles. Furthermore, I am much more critical of the coaches than the players, just I would be much more critical of a despotic governing official than one of their pawn soldiers.

In short, I think you took it too far and it seems to be exhibit some of the same issues of over-the-top negativity and criticism against posters that you want posters to stop displaying against coaches and players.
