Some things I liked this season:
(I don't know what bowl game we will go to, but it is the end of the regular season).

As the season closes, there is definitely a mix of feelings in the air. It was certainly not the dream season I could have wished for our last season of independence, but it was also not a travesty of Doom and Gloom. Here are some things that I liked about this season:

1. Jaren Hall. He wasn't perfect, but Hall looked pretty dang good at various times this season. I don't know if he'll be back for another year- and he should absolutely do what is right for his family- but it's been a pleasure to have him at BYU.

2. Wide Receivers. Some great players at WR this year, and not all of it from upperclassmen.

3. Hinckley Ropati looked good. It was always going to be hard to follow TA, but Brooks and Hinckley were fun- and Hinckley is still young.

4. We leave Utah State and Boise State as winners. I won't be especially sad if we never play Utah State again, since they are a QB injuring stampede of moo cows, but still, it's nice to take the Wagon Wheel with us. Boise State was a fun rivalry; we took turns messing up seasons in the end, which was kinda fun.

5. Baylor. No, it wasn't Baylor's best year, but we did win in a good atmosphere, and (more importantly in my mind) were famously kind, welcoming, and wholesome as fans to them, gracious in victory and supportive of our future conference mate.
