I had to write 12 LORs this semester and probably 50+ in the last 7 years.
I’ve never had anyone give me a gift card. I’ve had a few treats dropped off after the fact and maybe a thank you card.
One student bought me a small Lego Lord of the Rings set as a thank you. Thought that was funny.
But I don’t expect anything from them but it’s always a welcomed gesture when they do.
