BYU loses more recruits to Utah than any other school it recruits against for players most likely to attend BYU; active Latter-Day Saints.

Morgan Scalley (despite past mistakes) is the best defensive coordinator out there. Why?

1. His defenses consistently rank among the top 25 in the nation.
- Back-to-back conference championships
2. Kalani and he share a common defensive philosophy, as well as a friendship.
3. He has been groomed as the head coach in waiting for Utah. Nevertheless, that station was stripped from him. Make him an associate head coach as well.
-Stealing him away would knee-cap Utah.
-It may also tear other coaches away from
Utah, setting them back further and
disrupting their current recruiting cycle.
-It might even flip some current
recruits
4. He will be well equipped to counter the “you’ll have the BYU-type of experience through the UofU institute.”
