that we have not been able to make even 1 over the same time period. We've had a few seasons where we could have but laid MAJOR eggs:

2008 (start 6-0, ranked as high as #8...only to be trounced by TCU and Utah)

2009 (beat #3 OU, make it to the top 10...demolished by unranked FSU team at home and then once again shellacked by TCU)

2014 (start off 4-0 w/ very management schedule the rest of the way. Taysom injured for the year in USU game which we lose, wheels fall off on defense and we lose 5 games in total)

2020 (start off 9-0 destroying weak COVID schedule. Lay an egg against Coastal in a game we had 2 days to prepare for. Dax Milne tackled 1 yard short of the TD for the win. ZW had Allegier wide open on the wheel route for the win, but didn't see him)

2021 (start 5-0, up to #10 in rankings. Finish 6-1 vs P5. Fumbled away the game (literally) to a .500 Boise state team, at home. Went 6-1 vs P5 otherwise, and only other loss was to Big 12 champ Baylor. Would have for sure made NY6 without Boise loss

Other honorable mentions...2016 season where we lost 4 games by a combined total of 8 points. Ball swings the other way a couple times and maybe we win those games. And 2012. Best BYU defense of the 21st century (and maybe even all time?). If we even have a half-decent offense we upset a Top 5 ND and also win 10, maybe 11 games. But our offense is tremendously woeful.
