Here are some ideas of things to do in Albuquerque area:
1. Sandia tram: amazing views of the area. Dress warm!
2. Santa Fe: amazing history and art scene. Also tons of high end restaurants.
3. If you are a skier, Ski Santa Fe is only an hour and a half from Albuquerque. A bit further is Angel Fire.
4. If you like seafood, make reservations at Pappadeaux. Yes, it is expensive, but incredibly good. You won’t get a table that weekend without reservations.
5. If you are a golfer, Twin Warriors and Pa-Koo Ridge are amazing. May be closed if bad weather/snow.
6. If you are flush with money, stay at the Tamaya Resort.
7. If you are really into Native American history, check out Chaco Canyon for a day trip. Some of the oldest Native American ruins in North America and an UNESCO world heritage site.
8. Breakfast: Check out Weck’s. Get the papas plate with green chile. A true NM breakfast!
Other New Mexicans, what else am I missing?
