Going back over BYU's schedule now Plus the strength of schedule. . . it looks like we overrate the schedule a bit.

My thoughts are NO. . . There is not a single signature win and I think BYU finishes in the CFP about #6 or #7 if undefeated. (If they won with flare and style, they might get ranked higher.)

What about a 1 loss BYU getting into the Cotton bowl. I am going to say no, I think 2 loss USC/Penn State still get ranked higher. I don't think it is right, but I think that's what would've happened.

I am glad with the upcoming 12 team playoffs and Big12 when BYU has a legit Top 10 team, they will make the playoffs every single time!
