1. Lohner. His stroke has always been fluid. When he plays pickup ball with the boys he is one of the best shooters on the floor. Guys like Jimmer play in these games. Pope may have some culpa in him shooting too tightly but I don’t know for sure.

2. Knight. Has purely awful shooting form. Not quite Ronnie Brewer bad but close. Looks like a praying mantis opening its claws as he winds up to shoot. His makes are mostly lucky with form like that. I blame early coaches in his life, not Pope for his awful shooting. It will get worse over the season as their competition tightens up, is my guess.

3. Erickson. Obviously played like a freaked out spazz at byu. This might be on Pope or the staff. He had no confidence. I’veseen him play outside byu but in less structured system. Having to overthink in a system is a blame I put on him not Pope. Additionally, his production right now is juco level. Much different defenders at that level and much less structured ball. So I don’t put much weight on the increase yet. Great kid. Great athlete. I think the system just wasn’t good for him. I don’t blame Pope for that either. You can’t tweak your system for player number 11 on your team.
