I am 24 and have never seen BYU Football do better than win a Vegas Bowl...
Look. I am a BYU-lifer. My parents met there and the family roots run deep, BUT, I can't say I fault the casual sports fan (my age or younger) choosing to cheer for Utah over BYU. This is what is going to happen if we can't turn it around. Older fans got to see BYU win the Natty in '84, Ty Detmer win the Heisman, win the Cotton bowl in '96, see Lavell Edwards coach, Steve Young, Robbie Bosco, Jim McMahon etc.

I loved watching Max Hall, John Beck, Austin Collie, Zach Wilson, Ty'Son, and TA but we have not made a single NY6 bowl in my lifetime, and the closest we've been was mostly because of a fluke schedule during a Pandemic. Yes, I know we have disadvantages in recruiting and it sucks Utah got a P5 invite a decade before us, but our biggest celebration in recent memory was blocking them from beating us 10-straight. That is sad.

I'm not trying to be a downer or bash on BYU Football, but just know that in my lifetime Utah will have made 4 NY6 Bowls (and will have won 2 of them pending a Penn St. win) while BYU has made 0. If you remember those teams of the 80's & 90's that's awesome, but don't fault younger fans for picking the team having success over the team that just lost to ECU & Liberty.

We need to do better. I'm tired of excuses. A moral PAC12 'victory' in 2021 ain't gonna cut it nor is the 2020 season.
