that he is hating college after his first semester, he feels like it is a huge waste of time and money to be taking general ed courses, and he can't see himself spending 4 years there. He is a decent student, strong in math, 3.5 GPA after his first college semester. He is interested in exploring coding / app development, etc and seems more interested in a focused education program that can get him into the workforce sooner.
He is doing some initial info gathering on something called Devmountain, another program called Bottega, which are evidently specialized programs. Do any of you have insights into either of those? They have into classes that are like 40 hours and are only $50 so its easily affordable before moving into the $10,000 education programs. Have any of you done an educational program like this, or know somebody who has? Do any of you hire people who have gone through these types of programs? Is it possible to get a decent foot in the door job with just a $10,000 education in a program like this?
