It could also be that Giants fans are just less weird in some way.
You'd think it would be similar given the media market overlap, but maybe it isn't-- certainly it isn't based on the facts as I understand them in terms of fan reactions-- which basically agrees with what you just stated. Jets fans seem to be the Utes of the NFL. In fact, that might be too much of a compliment.
