I started working at a new company about 6 months ago. According to their benefits package, I am not entitled to
employer match on my 401K until my first anniversary.
We recently switched over to a whole new timesheet system. I got an email stating they noticed a bug in the employer match system and would fix it by the next pay period.
Knowing that I am not entitled, I assume this was a generic message sent to many people (I was bcc) and that I should not receive anything.
Noticed on our 401K site that I did receive an employer match this month.
So excited for payroll and hr to figure this out and probably screw me over for their mistake.
