And yes, I was screwed over once during my first enlistment, but it wasn't that hard to figure out.

I always love the pretentious Officer/senior enlisted, thinking they are better than someone with a lower rank. So you do you, my friend. Senior Enlisted and Officers -> complain just as much about this dumb stuff. Especially if they ever have to help their subordinates or themselves. Instead of thinking of a chasm between ranks, be a better leader, and have some empathy and guts to improve things.
