I'm sure Pope would agree w you on Bernardo. He wasn't free to cut players
that Bernardo naturally would've played over.
From what we know of Pope, there's no way he personally would've preferred playing a Kolby Lee or a bulked-up Seljaas at the 4 over a long, athletic kid like DeSilva.
He didn't have a choice in that. The choice was between Bernardo & guys like Yoeli, Toolson & Barcello. Those were the kids from 2018-19 who wouldn't had played for BYU had Rose stayed put another year.
