In the WAC, BYU went the 25 years without ever having more than 3 unranked seasons in a row. In the first 7 years of the MWC, BYU only had one ranked season total. Clearly, going to the MWC destroyed our once-proud program....

Or maybe there were other factors, like a legendary coach who had Nebraska punching well above our normal weight and competing at a level that wasn't sustainable. And then, even in the B1G Bo Pelini had Nebraska doing just as well as he'd had them doing in the Big 12 (and better than the two previous Nebraska Big 12 coaches in Frank Solich and Bill Callahan).

Nebraska didn't fall apart by going to the B1G. They fell apart because they weren't happy with "very good" under Pelini and fired him and then have gone through a series of mediocre (or worse) coaches and squandered their legacy. And without that legacy, it's really tough to recruit the best athletes to Nebraska.
