not your best take. SJ at the point would be a huge disaster...
...It takes more to be a good PG besides being able to run and dribble the ball at the same time.

As for big recruits, not sure what your measurement is for that, Jaxson Robinson was a big recruit (top 100 player, 4* recruit) who is finally getting a chance to play after sitting and watching at TAMU and Arkansas. He's slowly progressing, avg 10 pts a game in conference play while hitting 40.5% from 3 after a slow start to the season. You can see he's working on being more efficient and learning where his shots are on the floor.

Rudi's niche isn't being a primary ball-handler/PG, it's being a 2 and looking to drive the ball, either to the rim or for pull-up mid-range shots. It would be nice if he played a little harder on defense, he's just been ok.

Fouss has improved over last year. His scoring is up 33% and has shown positive improvement with most of his other numbers despite facing a lot more double teams.

Here's the thing, we have known what this team is. It's a young team trying to build a nucleus. We need to start focusing on getting our young guys playing time. This season was always about getting young guys ready for next season and developing a nucleus we can build around (Wahlin comes next year, Chandler the year after, a vet grad-transfer here/there, etc). Guys like Hall, Saunders, Toolson along with Fouss, AAA etc will be part of a foundation down the road (maybe not all will be starters but important pieces of the rotation). It's important for coaches to work on other young guys like Waterman and Stewart to get them into the flow and figuring out their games and how they fit in at BYU (although Stewart is so raw offensively it's hard to see if he'll ever be more than a defensive specialist).

Continuity with mature players will be important for BYU going forward.
