My identity was stolen several months ago, I finally just finished going through the process of getting my records scrubbed clean. The individual opened up a $5000 line of credit and got all the cash. I am no longer responsible for it after turning in the police report and filling out some papers, but I don’t want this to happen again.

If I freeze my credit, nobody can ever do that again to me, right? But I will have to unlock it for any hard credit checks, correct?
