Thought a lot about this over the years. Trouble is, “reality” is complex. Why?
Because reality involves BOTH objective AND subjective components.
Objective reality is measurable, quantifiable.
Subjective reality is how we feel, how we perceive our existence.
Both are real. It’s problematic to dismiss one or the other as not “real” because both exist. IMO, I think that’s why both the law/justice AND mercy must be applied in this life. The law/justice accounts for objective reality. Mercy accounts for subjective reality.
