I've never used any type of special footbed for anything other than ski boots. Right now I've got some off the shelf footbeds that I put in my ski boots. They were recommended to me based on my foot shape when I got fitted for my ski boots. They seem to work pretty good.

I'm wondering if it's worth it to go to a full custom footbed at some point. I've heard it can really make a difference in your skiing. My boots fit pretty well, but they definitely aren't perfect. I have a fairly high arch which I know is a challenge in ski boots.

Also wondering if it's something I should ever try in basketball shoes. Anyone done it and felt a difference?
