How you have explained it is the best way IMO. On the flip, I had had some very

meaningful discussions with my BIL who believes strongly in the "your truth" vs "my truth" ideas. He knows I don't agree with it and respects that.

Still is so odd to me as he has used these terms in some of the silliest ways to justify his feelings and actions at times.
