In the spring/summer there is a tournament every weekend. They sell it as a way to get recruited. There are NEVER (maybe except in very rare cases) college coaches at these things.

The one benefit you can get is from the recruiting services. (Usually you have to already be on the radar)

The money these "Clubs" make from these things is insane. I have been to many were you have to pay $20.00 a person just to get in to watch your kid play.

My son is a QB at the FCS level and I have talked to his OC many times about this and he hates them. IT IS NOT FOOTBALL is always his comment. I have talked to a handful of other OC's and they all say the same thing.

These guys can pull in 50K in a weekend.

Don't get me started on the fashion pageant these things have turned into. Ski goggles, masks, towells .... yuck.
