Especially the convertible. Expensive, unsafe, and very much materialistic for someone in the age group that is swayed by money very easily. 16 year olds deserve a nice 5-10 year old Elantra if you want to be nice. If the kid is going to use a truck or SUV for work or other good reasons, then do that.
