It's easy to go lighter than that and spend quite a bit less.
My big 4 items weigh 8.5 pounds. My sleeping bag and ground pad are from Klymit. My tent is 6 Moons Design Gatewood Cape, and my backpack is Osprey. Admittedly my backpack is relatively the heaviest item but I was in a pinch 2 years ago when I got it and didn't have time to do all the research and have it shipped, so I got the best I could at REI when balancing weight, comfort, and price.

It looks like Klymit might not sell any full down sleeping bags anymore, which is disappointing but their inventory is never super reliable either. The Gatewood cape isn't for everyone and it is admittedly a little spendy (but still less than the big agnes) but I've loved it. The Klymit groundpad can also be controversial but for the combination for weight, price, and comfort I've loved it and have had it for nearly 10 years along with the sleeping bag. Pretty soon it'll be time to replace the sleeping bag unfortunately. I think I'll go with a backpacking quilt when that time comes.
