year they gave out a Christmas bonus structure of $100 for every year you've worked there (max of $500). That's all fine and good. Here's the incompetency. The bonus came in the mail as a "giftogram" a gift card. Ok, that's fine. But then they made it so it could only be used at restaurants (most of which we don't eat at). So we got a $100 gift card to restaurants that we don't really want to eat at. Many of these people received $500 to restaurants they aren't interested in.
Then we found out today that they added $100 to my wife's paycheck, taxed it, and then withdrew the $100. So we got taxed on this gift card we didn't want. What a load of incompetence. Yes it's a nice gesture, but it was a swing and a miss.
