Who are the 5 greatest Quarterbacks at BYU?
BYU has had many talented quarterbacks throughout its history, but here are five that are considered among the greatest to ever play at the school:

Steve Young: Young is widely considered to be one of the greatest quarterbacks in BYU history, and one of the best ever to play the position. He led the Cougars to a National Championship in 1984 and won the Davey O'Brien Award as the nation's best quarterback. Young finished his college career with 7,733 passing yards and 56 touchdown passes.

Ty Detmer: Detmer is considered one of the greatest quarterbacks in BYU history, and one of the best ever to play the position. He won the 1990 Heisman Trophy and set numerous NCAA records during his career at BYU. Detmer finished his college career with 15,031 passing yards and 121 touchdown passes.

Jim McMahon: McMahon was one of the most exciting and productive quarterbacks in BYU history, leading the Cougars to a Holiday Bowl victory in 1980 and a Liberty Bowl victory in 1981. He finished his college career with 8,682 passing yards and 84 touchdown passes.

Gifford Nielsen: Nielsen was one of the most talented and productive quarterbacks in BYU history, leading the team to a National Championship in 1984. He finished his college career with 6,096 passing yards and 42 touchdown passes.

Max Hall: Hall was a key part of the Cougars' success in the mid-to-late 2000s, leading the team to a 11-2 record and a Las Vegas Bowl victory in 2006. He finished his college career with 10,932 passing yards and 94 touchdown passes.

It's important to note that this list is not exhaustive and there may be other Quarterbacks that could be considered depending on how one measures "greatest"
