easier and sustainable access to the playoffs. Utah, UW and Oregon are seen as the top programs right now.

But the Big 12 would be awesome. More balance, more travel but Utah would likely be in the top 3-4 programs right away.

I don't think Utah would shy away...and I don't think anyone's thinking about BYU one way or the other. Except maybe BYU would be a great addition with SDSU. That ship has sailed and BYU is likely better off with the current stability.
