just jump with ASU and Zona to the B12 if that's what those two schools decide to do.
First, any team added has to move the money needle. They have to be additive in order to justify the added travel expenses. That's how Utah got into the PAC to begin with. Not so much that they moved the needle, but being the 12th school and therefore being able to add a CCG did. Does Utah move the needle for the B12? If so, how? Do they bring a new market to the B12 that the B12 doesn't already have?
Second, this wouldn't be happening in a vacuum. UO and UW will be making frantic decisions at the same time, knowing that there won't be anything left of the PAC and that the B1G likely still isn't returning calls. Those two schools are additive and do bring in new markets. They would get priority and would likely be willing to sign that GOR if faced with that or the independence wilderness.
If Utah doesn't move the needle now, they would surely then be a drag to a B12 that has UO and UW.
I don't know that Utah can afford to wait and react. Sure, my blue goggles definitely want them left out in the cold, but that's also a very real possibility should they wait to see what other PAC schools do first.
