Don’t get me wrong, hospitals and docs do amazing work, it just really sucks to be on the receiving end of it.
Took our daughter in this morning for a routine CT scan to check out a couple of things for her cardiologist. Because of her history and some anxiety, they opted for general anesthesia At the last minute the Docs decided to add a Lymphangiography to the mix extending our time just a bit but no big deal.
Everything went smoothly until we got to recovery and she struggled to wake up for an extended period. Her O2 sats were lower than when she came in and she had a “wet” cough. About 2 hours into waiting for her to wake up she vomited which seemed to level up everyone’s concern.
A couple of docs got called in and they called back the anesthesiologist. Everyone conferenced and we are now spending the night in the ICU.
I hate hospitals.
