Kind of, yeah.
I am a little curious what the Big Ten does with USC and Notre Dame.

The kind of pairing you're talking about is already set with Stanford, but maybe with UCLA moving to the Big Ten, it would make more sense for BYU to balance the Big Ten schedule.

Interesting, Notre Dame is only scheduled with Stanford through 2024, and with USC through 2026. They may not schedule more than that.

But here's the thing ... BYU doing a huge favor for the Big Ten and balancing out Notre Dame with USC would be fun. It would be nice to play UCLA, but that leaves the Big 12 with 11 teams.

Which of those 11 is going to sign up to take a rivalry week bye so we can go play UCLA? Going to be very tough sell.

As far as being booked up, there are three games a year, basically one FCS game, one home and one road per year.

Tom Holmoe could be negotiating a home and home for 2029 and 2031 with someone, but we'd need them to play in Provo first, so the next opening for a road game for BYU is 2031. It's going to be very tricky to keep recruiting ties to California.

Also, the Big 12 currently doesn't have any Southern California bowl games, but maybe that will change with the next round of negotiations.
