Case and point - PAC presidents really saw UCLA and USC leaving coming! That had been speculated a year before it happened by those who understand the changing landscape of college sports. Also, these folks aren’t media experts and sometimes the circle of academia can be really insulated from the real world. These folks actually think academics add TV value in realignment. Being out of touch IS being clueless. The PAC presidents were foolish enough to go at the PTN alone and foolish enough not to sell it to ESPN. Like Louie and Marie Antonette, they may be educated but they have absolutely no idea about the volatility around them.
