If he's traded pre June, then it's a $13.8M dead cap hit (basically the same cap hit as keeping him)
...but if it's a post June trade, then the dead cap is only $4M, saving the Saints $10M in cap this year. It pushes $9M in dead cap to 2024, but that would have already been the case if they released him next year anyway.
I don't think a trade is necessarily likely, but the way his contract is structured isn't an impediment to one
