Batteries are still really heavy and don't get lighter as they discharge.
Fuel is heavy, but at least gets lighter with every passing minute that it burns up.
Electric cars are invariably way heavier than their ICE counterparts because of the batteries. I don't see airlines switching until battery tech improves quite a bit more to decrease the weight.
