My family’s biggest time of flying internationally was in the 1980s when we lived in Saudi Arabia. The plane we flew in the most by far was the 747.
On long overnight flights we would book the five seats in the middle section. My wife and I would sit on the aisles, lay some blankets down for two of the kids to sleep on the floor, and the third child would stretch out on the three seats between us to sleep.
Normally, the upper deck is first class, but we got to ride up there one time on a flight that had no first class.
