and no one is as optimistic and cheery about the job GK is doing and the PAC12's future as Ute fans. I mean it's not close (outside of OSU and WAZZU I suppose).
Other boards express a lot of concern about why this is dragging out and why GK keeps spouting off lame excuses. There's not a lot of trust in him right now. No one wants anything to do with an Amazon T1 streaming deal. Ute fans seem to be the only fanbase excited about that option and believe it's ahead of the curve. While the TV experts are saying it's still 5-10 yrs away. In fact on Utezone if anyone disagrees with that path forward or the job GK is doing they get attacked and harshly downvoted.
The overpayment fiasco has been an embarrassment and likely damaging. ASU fans in particular were bent out of shape about it. The P12net has no shot at getting leveraged in a lease/sale now. No one is going to touch that entity with all the unknown legal liabilities that may come with that investment.
Arizona is the most down on the Pac12 and their fans want out. ASU and Colorado used to feel optimistic, but they seem to be looking for their exit strategy now.
Oregon and Washington are most optimstic about their futures and rightly so since they'll always have a landing spot. They don't seem very impressed with GK tho. They want the PAC12 to survive, but have no desire to stay their long term. The PAC's 2 biggest brands want out of that conference.
I haven't really checked on WAZZU and OSU, but I can only imagine they are desparate for the PAC12 to survive or they will go to the MWC.
And CAL and Stanford? Do they even care?
So is there groupthink/echochamber/hive mindset dynamics going on? Certainly, these are fanbase forums for crying out loud. However, that echochamber is getting smaller and smaller and starting to isolate around the Ute fanbase.
