Missing games is a league wide problem that is just getting bigger and bigger. Take a look at these stats:
Top Players in the NBA: (most of the league has played 52 or 53 games although teams like the Timberwolves have played 56)
Joel Embiid: 40 games (missed 12 or 23%)
Luka Doncic 47 games (missed 7 or 13%)
Giannis Antetokounmpo 42 games (missed 11 or 21%)
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 48 games (missed 4 or 8%)
Damian Lillard 41 games (missed 12 or 23%)
Jayson Tatum 50 games (a full 10 more games played than Embiid missed 3 games or 6%)
Lebron James 43 games (missed 11 or 20%)
Kevin Durant 39 games (missed 13 or 25%)
Steph Curry 38 games (missed 15 games or 28%)
Ja Morant 44 games (missed 9 games or 17%)
Kyrie Irving 40 games (missed 12 games or 23%)
Jaylen Brown 47 games (missed 6 games or 11%)
Donovan Mitchell 45 games (missed 10 games or 18%)
Nikola Jokic 46 games (missed 8 games or 15%)

So out of these top 14 players they have averaged missing 9.5 games so far this season or 18%. Basically meaning if you are going to a game with 2 stars in it the chances that one won't play are over 1/3. While there are some injuries in this group, none are season ending or anthing like that to throw off the numbers. Just knicks and bruises with an occasion sprain. Load Management is the biggest item contributing to these guys not playing.
