at his stats his junior season when he was a semi-finalist that year for the Butkus award. He had 147 tackles that year! 114 solo tackles and six sacks.

Chris Claiborne for USC won it narrowly over Dat Nguyen. Claiborne had 107 tackles, (77 solo), five sacks and six interceptions. Morris wasn't even a finalist, only a semifinalist (Jevon Kearse was the other finalist along with Nguyen).

Granted, Claiborne did have six interceptions too, but Morris had 40 more tackles. I was too young to remember if he got screwed or not. I feel like if he were at a bigger school he would have been a finalist for sure.
