really helps but 3 days of seclusion without "sensory distractions" would probably make me more manic had I not done it. 30 mins/day is enough for me.
I started using meditation/yoga with the HS soccer and volleyball teams I coach. They laughed about it at first but these dark sessions every Saturday seem to be catching on with all of them. It's pretty relaxing and keeps the players loose which is really important with volleyball movement.
