If you had to choose a beach/tropical type family vacation

and are choosing between Hawaii and Costa Rica, what would you choose and why? Kids are all teenagers.

Also, any other options I should consider that I am not?

I've been to Hawaii, but not Costa Rica. Would also consider a cruise I guess.
