I hate vacations with kids. It’s just watching your kids in another place for a
Ton of money. My wife keeps pushing for them as well and we always have a miserable time. My kids are 8, 6 and 2 so we’re at a time when it’s probably not ideal going on a vacations with kids yet. Everyone tells me the sweet spot is about 8-12 with kids so maybe in a couple years.

Maybe his wife needs to feel like she has control to avoid unknowns. Some people don't deal well with unknowns.
