They could still end up leaving of course. But the consensus here that they want to leave and are just setting the table for that? I don't buy it.

“We’re very confident that we’re going to get a good deal and that we can all stay together. I think that’s the message that’s important to get out. Because there’s a lot of disinformation. For instance, ‘Arizona’s going to the Big 12.’ We’re not going to the Big 12. "
Again, could change. But if you're already planning to go and just being supportive as a smokescreen to unrealistically raise expectations, you don't say the phrase "We're not going to the Big 12"
Could be other issues obviously, but I don't believe that (at this point) that's the intention, otherwise he'd be more careful is his word choice
