I have a nephew who I think may eventually have an opportunity to be at BYU, his dream school.
He's 6'2" 200 lbs. He's a freshman at Timpanogos. As a freshman, he was first-team all region at defensive tackle, where he never played before. His first few games were mediocre, then he kind of took off. He's likely not done growing.
We've got him signed up for BYU's football camp. Recruiting is night and day different from my day, and even then, I was never recruited by BYU. I sent them film and they offered me PWO. I played at Idaho State, and based on that experience, my nephew is there at that level now. Assuming he continues to progress, what are some other things I can do to get on BYU's radar.
Are there former players who run skills clinics and also share info with BYU coaches? That kind of thing.
