Six Foot Seven All-American
Adrenaline is still pumping.
Was walking my dog in the neighborhood park. It is six square city blocks in size. Was on my own as my wife serves in the temple every other Tuesday night so I had headphones in and listening to music as I walked.

Suddenly my dog spun around to face something behind us. So I followed suit.

It was a male pit bull off leash tail perked up over its body staring right at me. Owner was trying to catch up to it but she was sixty yards away and her dog was about 15 feet from me. I positioned my dog behind me and let out the most primal roar I have ever made. Thankfully, the dog decided to turn tail and go back to its owner.

It freaked me out. And I was NOT happy. I shouldn’t have yelled at the owner, but you don’t get to take your pit bull off leash in a public park. It isn’t your backyard and I don’t know you or your dog. If you expect me to just trust that breed or an idiot owner, you’ve missed your guess.
