unpopular opinion - we only need 1 dominant big man to significantly improve
the basketball team and perhaps even be competitive with the middle of the BIG12.

This allows Fousse to play his more natural position and would give you two prominent rebounders. We have plenty of shooters to significantly improve from this year. If you have a legit center and Fousse, who both demand attention, this opens your outside shot. The past year we did only had Fousse down low.

Toolson, Johnson, and Knell are all elite shooters. Hall and Saunders improved as the year went along. I also have a lot of faith in Robinson.

The dynamics change so much if you have a legit big. And to build the program long-term you need to develop from within.

The fact that BYU does not produce a ton of NBA talent may help this team in the long run because you can have a team that stays together rather than bolts for the NBA. Our key to success is having players who are fringe NBA guys who probably are good enough to play in foreign leagues, but stay together for multiple years.
