First, he has quite a bit of arm talent. He can put the ball in some incredibly tight spots. His deep balls, especially those thrown back shoulder on fade routes, are beautiful things.
But the thing that always got me is that I don't think he sees the field very well. What I never appreciated on TV, but every time I saw him in person is how many times he had open receivers that he simply didn't see. Guys running 3-5 yards away from any defender, but he doesn't even seem to acknowledge their presence. This will have to change if he is to become even a serviceable backup in the NFL.
