I think another significant factor will be the increased use of NP’s and PA’s
I was the CFO for a primary care company for a couple of years, and we had aggressively shifted our recruiting model to hiring mid-level providers, especially for staffing things like urgent care centers. The NP’s and PA’s typically make around $120k, so roughly half of what an MD makes.

That said, I wouldn’t expect any meaningful decline in physician salaries. It was still crazy hard to recruit MD’s, and everyone we hired had multiple other job offers.
