Get the best deal you can for the long haul into Europe and use Ryanair to
Connect to the port cities. You can use point to get the best award tickets into the euro city they use as a hub. Just make sure one of the discount euro airlines flys out of that same airport. Just think of the euro airline as a connecting leg to the port city.
Even if you had to buy a connecting flight in/out of both port cities you’ll save $ of two one way long hauls.
