especially because they are only in two time zones, but I think that if Oregon and Washington were to publicly announce that they aren’t interested in going to the B1G, a deal could be reached soon. Obviously they won’t do that, nor should they because they would potentially be turning down silly amounts of money. I think that is why the PAC 12 is going to die eventually. Objectively speaking, if I’m the Big 10 commissioner thinking about expansion, the only teams I am excited about, who really add value are Notre Dame and some ACC teams. Washington and Oregon are only useful in that they bolster a stronger presence in the west. No other teams make sense for them to add and in fact the next step of this process will be for the SEC and Big 10 to start shaving off teams that don’t pull their weight.
