it’s not that there’s a deal on the table, it’s that in order for a deal to
exist, Washington and Oregon need to show that they aren’t just gonna bolt. You don’t want to be the company that buys an asset and then it immediately gets devalued. Think Elon Musk and Twitter. If you spend 35 million per team for PAC 12 rights, then the two biggest parts of the PAC 12 bolt, even at a prorated price, you are overpaying for a glorified version of the MWC.
