Trouble hanging a hammock chair. What's the best safe solution?
I originally screwed in eye bolts for 3 hammock chairs and hung each chair from a single eye bolt. These are 1/2 inch wide bolts with coarse threads and are going directly into a beam on my porch. Two of them have stripped out. Now I have holes that don't really work and my wife is asking me to come up with a solution. I imagine I could install 2 bolts and string chains to both to distribute the weight but that would pull horizontally on the bolts as well. (Yes, I know big kids shouldn't be swinging on them)

My other thought was to do some sort of mounted D ring like this:

Screws would be smaller but there could be more of them. I'm no engineer so I'm wondering if one idea is better than another or if there's something else that I'm not considering.

Thoughts?
